About B.A.R. Ministries:
Our world is filled
with disbelief and doubt. Many people would rather embrace skepticism
than believe in something greater than themselves. God's Word informs us
that we must "believe and repent" in order to be saved. We must
believe in Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God, whose blood sacrifice on the
cross provided the atonement for our sins. We also must repent (turn,
have a change of mind and heart) of our sins. The faith to believe in God
only comes from Him, so if you do not believe, ask Him to help you in your
unbelief.
Through the means of
biblical education, biblical counseling, and evangelism, B.A.R. Ministries, Inc.
seeks to promote belief in Christ in an unbelieving society. B.A.R.
Ministries, Inc. desires to work cooperatively with local churches in order to
establish a biblically-based correct system of beliefs, which will in turn
positively influence individuals' values and thus character formation and
life-change. B.A.R. Ministries, Inc. hopes to help change and correct belief
systems in the following areas:
- Soteriology (the doctrine of salvation)
- Orthopraxy (holy living, how the Christian's
life should differ from the non-Christian's life)
- Relationships (friendships, marriages, other
familial relationships, relationships within the Family of God)
- The correct study of Scripture
- Church ministries (what is the Church called to
do? How do we accomplish this?)
- Integrity (what does it mean to live in honesty?)
- Many more to come...
Over the course of my
life, I have seen many people's lives dramatically changed through the honest
proclamation of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sadly, in a society
where many Believers are fearful of speaking and living out the truth of
Scripture due to post modernism's influences, it is time for the Church to BE
the Church and proclaim the Truth; the Gospel is not a "feel good",
"self-help" message. It is simply this: humanity is depraved
and incurably sinful and wicked, and our only hope of salvation is through
Jesus Christ. He is not one of many options to God; He is the only
option. When we put our belief in Him and turn from our sins, then we are
saved. I desire for the Church to get back to these basics, and not shy
away from the Truth.
